Milestones
In 1998 Lumara was established as a general trading company in Khartoum, Sudan. 2005 DIAR Electronics was established as a major retailer for electronics and home appliances based in Port Sudan. Lumara began its association with Daikin, and within a span of a couple of years became the market leader in commercial air-conditioning. 2009 Driven by US sanctions on Sudan banking system, Lumara Trading (DMCC) was established as the group’s center of operations. 2010 The group’s operation expanded in UAE and Lumara Electromechanical & Trading Services (LETS) was established under Lumara Engineering as a contractor for Daikin Middle East. 2010 The group extended its operations in to minerals trading where YE Planet was established with HQ in Manzanillo, Mexico. 2011 LETS expanded its electromechanical contracting market to Doha, Qatar and Lumara Electromechanical Works (LEW) was established and quickly became a reputable name in its field of operations. 2012 Beryllium for Multi-Activities (BMA) was formed, based in Khartoum, Sudan, as a wholesaler and distributor for OEM electronics and home appliances such as Nikkai, TCL, Duker and China Snow under the name DIAR. Following the success of electronics and home appliances distribution, BMA began its association with Midea in Sudan covering the supply of all home appliances and air-conditioning range.
